Ingredients
- 675 g (1.5lb) beef or goat meat cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 onions (minced)
- 3 garlic minced
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 0.5 tsp white pepper
- 0.5 tsp.black pepper
- 1.5 tsp dried thyme
- 1 stock cube or more to taste
- Scotch bonnet pepper to taste
- 1.25 L 5 cups water
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- Salt
- Reduce water to 900 ml (3.8 cups)

Directions
- 1. Stove top African Pepper Soup
- 2. Mix together meat, onion, garlic, ginger, white pepper, black pepper and thyme in your pot.
- 3. Add the water, bring to boil and reduce to a roiling simmer for 15 mins.
- 4. Add the tomato puree and season with salt and simmer for another 10-15 mins until the beef is done
- 5. Adjust seasoning and serve.

- 7. Add all the ingredients to the Instant Pot insert and mix well.
- 8. Select the manual or pressure cook button (dependent upon IP model), select high pressure and set the timer to 20 mins. Cook till done.
- 9. Let the steam release naturally.Adjust seasoning and serve.
- 10. Slow Cooker African Pepper Soup
- 11. Add everything to slow cooker.
- 12. Cook on high for 4-5 hrs or low 6-8 hrs.
- 13. Adjust seasoning and serve.
