Agedashi Tofu

Ingredients
- 400g Tofu
- Oil for frying
- 200g Potato Starch
- 200ml water (omit if using stock)
- 2g Dashi Powder (or 200ml dashi stock)
- 3 tablespoons Mirin
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
- 2 teaspoons sake
Directions
- Cut tofu block into 4 cubes
- Coat thoroughly with potato starch
- Fry in 170C oil, turning regularly until light brown
- Drain
- Thinly slice green part of spring onions- reserve
- Mix remaining ingredients and bring to boil over low heat
- Place cubes into bowl, add 1 tsp of sesame oil.
- Pour over hot sauce, top with spring onions, a sprinkle of katsuboshi (omit for vegan/veg)and simichi togarashi
- Serve immediately
