CC Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 C ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard, ground
- 1 tsp cumin, ground
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder of your choice
- kosher salt & black pepper to taste
- Hamburger buns/Bread
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger buns.
Notes

- I used Minced Turkey
- For a spicier Sloppy Joe, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the chili powder mixture.
- For a sweeter Sloppy Joe, add a tablespoon of brown sugar.
- For a more tangy Sloppy Joe, add a tablespoon of cider vinegar.
- Serve with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, or pickles.
- I substituted the ground beef with left over turkey. You just need to heat through the turkey.
