All-Purpose Granola Recipe

  • * 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • * 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • * 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • * 1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
  • * 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • * 1/3 cup honey
  • *1/3 cup maple syrup
  • * 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • 2. Mix the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, almonds, and seeds in a large bowl and set aside.
  • 3. In a small saucepan, mix and heat the oil, honey, maple syrup, and vanilla until warm and well-combined.
  • 4. Add the warm oil mixture to the oats mixture and stir well. Spread the oats on the prepared baking sheet and cook for 12 minutes. Remove the sheet, stir the oats, and bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until the oats are golden brown and aromatic.
  • 5. Remove the pan and allow to cool. The mixture will have solidified somewhat, break it up and store in a covered container.
