Parmesan & Spinach Cheese Twists

Baking, Side Dish, Snack • Bread, Cheese, Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten, for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • Sprinkle chopped spinach, Parmesan, and mozzarella evenly over half of the pastry. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press lightly to seal.
  • Cut into 1-inch strips, twist each strip gently, and place on the baking sheet.
  • Brush twists with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden and crispy.
