Semi's Steak Noodle Bowl

Main Dish • Beef, Pasta
Serving size: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) canning jar
  • Flavor Base
  • 2 teaspoons bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mirin
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Sambal Oelek, Sriracha, Gochujang, etc. or skip
  • Filling for jar
  • 1 cup cooked Noodles (I like Soba noodles for this bowl) but rice noodles or spaghetti will work too
  • 1/4 cup matchstick carrots (blanched)
  • 1/4 cup broccoli slaw (blanched)
  • 2 tablespoons Very thinly sliced button or cremini mushrooms
  • 1/8 cup chopped spinach or other greens
  • Toppings
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped green onions, cilantro, parsley etc.
  • Protein
  • 4 to 6 very thin slices of beef steak
  • HALF RECIPE 8 OUNCE JAR
  • 1 (8 oz.) canning jar
  • Flavor Base
  • 2 teaspoon bouillon
  • 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mirin
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Sambal Oelek, Sriracha, Gochujang, etc. or skip
  • Filling for jar
  • 1/2 cup cooked Noodles (I like Soba noodles for this bowl) but rice noodles or spaghetti will work too
  • 1/8 cup matchstick carrots (blanched)
  • 1/8 cup broccoli slaw (blanched)
  • 1 tablespoon Very thinly sliced button or cremini mushrooms or more to taste
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped spinach or other greens

  • Protein
  • 2 to 4 very thin slices of beef steak (more or less to your taste.

Directions

  • 1. In a saucepan over high heat cook the noodles until just done. remove and set aside. drizzle just a tiny amount of sesame oil over the noodles so they don't stick together.
  • 2. In the same pan leaving it on high add the carrots, and cook until crisp tender, remove and set aside to cool. then add the broccoli slaw and cook until crisp tender
  • 3. In the jar
  • 4. add flavor base
  • 5. noodles on top of the flavor base
  • 6. then Veggies
  • 7. Toppings
  • 8. Then the meat. close the lid label, date, and put it in the fridge
  • 9. To heat 16 ounce jar. remove the lid from the jar microwave for 1 minute. add about 1 cup to 2 cups boiling water. Stir check heat. if necessary microwave an additional 1 minute.
  • 10. To heat 8 ounce jar. remove the lid from the jar microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute. add about 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Stir check heat. if necessary microwave an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.
