Ingredients
- 1 ¼ pounds 80/20 ground beef
- 1 ¼ pounds ground pork
- 2 large eggs
- 1 medium sweet onion, grated (food processor pulsed a few times works great for this)
- 1 cup seasoned panko
- 2 tsp salt
- 1tsp black pepper
- ½ cup pecorino romano cheese grated
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1tsp oregano
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°
- In large bowl, add panko and onion with all the juices and garlic and mix to hydrate the panko.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well until combined, try not to over work.
- Roll each meatball into 2.2-2.5 ounces, this should make aprox. 22 meatballs
- Cook in air fryer in batches, about 9 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160° . If planning on finishing them in a slow simmered sauce, air fry for around 6-8 minutes, till around 130°.
