Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup coconut
  • 125g butter
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1/2 tsp bicarb soda
  • 1 tbsp boiling water

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 150C or 130C for fan forced
  • Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut
  • Combine butter and golden syrup, stir over gentle heat until butter is melted
  • Mix bicarb soda with boiling water, then add to butter mixture, stir in dry mix to combine
  • Place tablespoons of mixture on lightly greased or lined trays. Allow room for spreading
  • Bake for 10 - 20 minutes, checking after 8. Cook time will depend on your oven and how dark you like your biscuits
