Cajun White Beans

Ingredients
- 2 lbs of White Beans, rinsed
- 1 ham hock
- 1lb of ham cubed
- 16oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 purple onion
- Minced garlic
- 8 cups of water
- 1 box of Chicken Stock
- ½ Stick of butter
- •Cajun Seasoning
- •Garlic Powder
- •Onion Powder
- •red pepper flakes
- Fresh Thyme
Directions
- Need: Large Dutch Oven
- 1. Melt butter, add in sausage and cubed ham. Let cook for 7-10 minutes. Add in onions and garlic. Let cook another 5-7 minutes.
- 2. Add the ham hock in the middle. Pour rinsed beans all around and add in water and stock. Sprinkle with all seasonings to taste and top with fresh thyme. Cover and let cook on medium heat for 4-5 hours. If beans are soaking up too much liquid add in more stock if needed
- 3. Cook until desired thickness. Enjoy 😋
