Classic Roast Beef & Au Jus

Ingredients
- •1 Rump Roast or Chuck Roast, cut off fat
- •1 onion, sliced
- •3 cups Beef Broth
- •2 cups water
- •1 packet of Au Jus gravy
- •1 packet of Brown Gravy
- •1 packet of Onion soup Mix
- •S&P
- •Garlic Powder
Directions
- Stove Top:
- 1. In a Dutch oven, season both sides of roast with little salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sear on both sides to brown.
- 2. Add in onion and let cook 2-3 minutes. Add in Broth, Au jus and brown gravy packet, and water
- 3. Cover and let cook on medium heat, check every now and then to prevent sticking.
- 4. After 3 hours, add more water if needed and add in onion soup
- Packet. Add in another Au jus packet if you added in 2 cups of water. Let finish cooking another hour or so till meat is tender and shredding
- Crock Pot:
- 1. Optional: brown meat on stove top for a deeper flavor.
- 2. Add all ingredients to crock pot. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8
