Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Directions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles back into the pot along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated in the sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and cilantro. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
