CC French Toast

Ingredients
- 4 slices of brioche bread, preferably day-old
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of Mexican vanilla extract
Directions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
- Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook the French toast for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Serve the French toast warm, drizzle with maple syrup, honey, caramel sauce or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
