French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

  • King’s Hawaiian Round Hawaiian Sweet Bread
  • 1 stick of butter 1/2 C
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 c half and half
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp grand
  • Powdered sugar to garnish
  • Strawberries to garnish

Directions

  • Slice King’s Hawaiian Round Hawaiian Sweet Bread (into about 1-inch slices), then set aside
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan (over low-medium heat), then mix in brown sugar and corn syrup
  • Mix half and half, eggs, vanilla, and grand marnier, then set aside
  • Add brown sugar butter mixture to the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish, then add sliced round bread (slightly overlap), then add half and half mixture on top
  • Cover the casserole with foil and let soak for at least 4 hours in the fridge, then bake at 350 for about 35 minutes
  • Top with powdered sugar and strawberries
