Southern fried catfish

Ingredients
- 4 catfish fillets
- Wet mixture
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp hot sauce of choice
- Dry mixture
- Louisiana southern fish fry
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp smoked chipotle
- ½ tsp Chili powder
Directions
- 1. Mix wet ingredients together and add fillets and submerge. Soak in fridge for up to 1 hour. This will help get rid of some of the fishy flavor if you aren’t into that.
- 2. Mix dry ingredients. When ready to fry. Fill a pan with an inch full of oil and heat to a temp of 350 degrees. While the pan heats, bread the fillets in the dry mixture and place them on a parchment-lined pan.
- 3. Working in batches, add fillets to the oil, place fish away from you, and fry for 3-4 mins on each side until internal temp reaches 145 degrees.
- 4. Place on a paper-lined plate and eat with starter sauce and dress with lemon juice and enjoy.
