The Best Rice Krispie Treat (Stovetop) (Microwave) 👍🏼 24

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Parkay Margarine
  • 1 - 10 oz. bag Kraft regular Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal

Directions

  • Spray a 13 x 9 pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  • Stovetop
  • Melt margarine in 3 quart saucepan over LOW heat.
  • Add marshmallows; stir until melted and well blended.
  • Remove from heat. Add cereal; toss until well coated.
  • Press mixture into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  • Cool; cut into squares.
  • ~ OR ~
  • Microwave
  • In an extra large bowl, measure out the 6 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal. Set aside.
  • In a separate large microwave safe bowl, microwave the butter until completely melted. (about 45 seconds)
  • Add bag of marshmallows to the bowl with melted butter. Stir to coat the marshmallows in the melted butter.
  • Microwave for 1 minute, stirring at the 30 seconds mark. 
  • Stir until well combined and smooth. 
  • Pour the melted marshmallow mixture into the bowl with the Rice Krispie Cereal. Stir until well combined. 
  • Pour the Rice Krispie treat mixture into the prepared 13 x 9 pan. 
  • Cover with wax paper and then gently press the Rice Krispie Treats down in the pan. 
  • Enjoy!!

Notes

  • Use 10 oz. Marshmallow Fluff instead of Marshmallows.
