Slow-Cooker Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 package (22 oz) frozen meatballs
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

  • 1. Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place meatballs and onion in slow cooker. Stir in broth, Worcestershire sauce and nutmeg.
  • 2. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 to 4 hours.
  • 3. In small bowl, stir whipping cream and cornstarch with whisk until well blended. Pour over meatballs. Cover; cook 10 minutes on High heat setting until thickened.

Notes

  • Very little sauce, try doubling everything but the meatballs.
