Ingredients

  • Brioche Buns
  • 1lb ground beef 80/20 or ground sirloin
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2tbsp butter
  • McCormick Smash Burger seasoning
  • Kinders Buttery Burger Blend seasoning
  • Pickles
  • Slice cheddar cheese
  • Sauce:
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream
  • 2tbsp Ketchup
  • 1tbsp Mustard
  • Smash Burger Seasoning

Directions

  • 1. Mix up sauce ingredients to let it come to room temperature.
  • 2. I like to caramelize my onions in 1tbsp pf butter on the stove but you can skip this step if you prefer. Onions will just be more crunchy.
  • 2. Divide meat into 3oz patties, roll into balls and smash down (parchment paper helps the sticking). Season one side with both seasonings.
  • 3. In cast iron skillet or on griddle get temperature on close to high. Add in 1tbsp butter and let melt. Place patty seasoned side down, season other side. Cook 2-3 minutes then flip.
  • 4. Once patty is flipped cook for another 1 minute and add onions and cheese. Cover with stainless bowl and cook for 2-3 more minutes until cheese is melted.
  • 5. Remove bowl and assemble burger!! I also love toasting the buns as a little extra touch!
  • Layer sauce, meat patty, pickles and more sauce! Feel free to add lettuce and tomato if you prefer!! ENJOY!
