Ingredients
- Brioche Buns
- 1lb ground beef 80/20 or ground sirloin
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2tbsp butter
- McCormick Smash Burger seasoning
- Kinders Buttery Burger Blend seasoning
- Pickles
- Slice cheddar cheese
- Sauce:
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Sour Cream
- 2tbsp Ketchup
- 1tbsp Mustard
- Smash Burger Seasoning
Directions
- 1. Mix up sauce ingredients to let it come to room temperature.
- 2. I like to caramelize my onions in 1tbsp pf butter on the stove but you can skip this step if you prefer. Onions will just be more crunchy.
- 2. Divide meat into 3oz patties, roll into balls and smash down (parchment paper helps the sticking). Season one side with both seasonings.
- 3. In cast iron skillet or on griddle get temperature on close to high. Add in 1tbsp butter and let melt. Place patty seasoned side down, season other side. Cook 2-3 minutes then flip.
- 4. Once patty is flipped cook for another 1 minute and add onions and cheese. Cover with stainless bowl and cook for 2-3 more minutes until cheese is melted.
- 5. Remove bowl and assemble burger!! I also love toasting the buns as a little extra touch!
- Layer sauce, meat patty, pickles and more sauce! Feel free to add lettuce and tomato if you prefer!! ENJOY!
