Ingredients

  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • ½ cup Cacao powder
  • 1 cup granulated cane sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • ½ cup Canola oil (any oil of your choice)
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract (optional)
  • ½ tsp Coffee powder (optional)

Directions

  • Sift dry ingredients and mix them together.
  • Add oil and water.
  • Fold in the mixture, making sure there are no lumps left from any of the ingredients.
  • Pour the mixture in a grease pan, or put parchment paper.
  • Add any toppings of your choice.

Notes

  • Recipe was inspired by Loving It Vegan, Simple Brownie.
  • For oil-free baking, use banana or applesauce. Reduce sugar, if necessary.
  • Use any sugar of your choice. I’ve used granulated cane sugar and white caster sugar and yielded different results. The mixture with white caster sugar is moist, while the one baked with granulated cane sugar is a bit dry.
  • Pan used here was 13cm by 14cm. You can use a bigger pan for thinner brownies, just the right bite size pieces.
